How much debt is too much debt for a business?
Don’t you just hate when people don’t pay you back? Like when people are dragging your hard-earned money with you? I for one hate it so much because I am not very confrontational when it comes to things like this.
I feel ashamed when I have to ask for my money, but this is not about me, I am not an entrepreneur. I can afford to say ‘no’; on the other hand, I can give out money without expecting it back. Unfortunately, you cannot always do this. If you allow too many debts to go unpaid, you will hinder your business from growing.
Unpaid debts are one of the recurring difficulties in entrepreneurship. Every business owner encounters customers who refuse to pay on time. Some do not have a problem asking for their money, while others are like me. If you are like me, do not stress.
One of the features of Dillali is the Debt Reminder. It gets the message across without being rude or having to spoil the relationships you are trying to build with your customers.
Sending reminders to your customers through Dillali is a very straightforward process.
All you have to do is go to the ‘’dashboard’’ to see the list of due invoices, click on “client” and select the due invoice you wish to send a reminder for, select “send reminder” and share the invoice with your client on WhatsApp, Email or any other platform you wish. You may want to place a call to the customer to give an extra nudge. This process does not only remind your debtors that they need to pay up, it also serves as evidence either in the thread you communicate in that you have tried to get your money back.
On average, business owners have to do so up to 3 times, so don’t feel awkward about it. You know what they say about the third time is a charm. Save yourself from bad debts, and get your money on time so your business does not die.
